My grandfather is Harry Chertkow, who came from Ukraine as Aron Czertkow in 1911. His wife is Feige Bendicoff (Bendikow), also from the Ukraine. Their town was listed as Bogopol.
Feige was accompanied by Leib Welednesky who was going to live with his cousin Aron Chertkow. I found his name to be changed to Louis Weled, married to Rose Weled. (Rifka Welednetsky)
Feige was going to live with her cousin, Herschel Kowler (Harry Kowler). They all immigrated to Philadelphia. The Weleds and Chertkows migrated to Michigan, then to California.
